Burque Burlesque is the brainchild of producers Devin D. O’Leary and Kitty Irreverent.
Motivated by a love of mid-century Vegas lounge acts and the idea of the original gentleman’s club, the producers dreamed up a show concept that would marry those elements with a modern touch.
Burque Burlesque shows provide independent burlesque performers from across New Mexico and around the country an opportunity to do what they do best, and give audiences hungry for a taste of the entertainment of a by-gone era a chance to indulge themselves.
In addition to producing the quarterly Tinis 'n Teasers Shows, Devin and Kitty are the masterminds behind the Southwest Burlesque Showcase. The Showcase is entering it's eighth year and is recognized as one of not only the oldest, but the best, festivals in the Country.
The Showcase invites performers from all over the country and around the world, to come to Albuquerque and do what they do best. The show takes place each year in February at the Historic Kimo Theater in downtown Albuquerque where Sally Rand herself once graced the stage.
